Im not going to moan though as it was great, I got to travel up and down the country met loads of wonderful people ( including the pensioners at a bingo club who were FAB!) and most importantly helped catch LOTS of criminals too. I also loved working with Ginny on the show, so sweet and hopefully we get the chance to work again soon.

As well as the Roadshow I have also been recording for the new series of Helicopter Heroes which is due out in the autumn, this is a show about the Air Ambulance and the amazing work that they do all year round.
Now for some exciting news! I am doing a new series, working with the Military! As some of you may know I am ex Army myself and have always wanted the chance to work with our Servicemen and women however i can. Well that chance has come up! I am doing a week long series running up to remembrance week traveling to and working with serving and some ex servicemen and women, military civilian staff and their families with stories of bravery, friendship, humor and some other heartwarming tales. Remembrance week is just that, where we give thought to those serving, and I am so pleased to be given the chance to help us all do that on screen. It may also give me the chance to get back in a pair of old military combats and boots….ooh cant wait!

I have been up and down the country once again, this time filming with the Police Crime Scene Investigators (CSI) for The One Show, which will be shown over the next few weeks. Make sure you all tune in as there are some amazing things they can do to say the least! …

Also been on photo shoot for the up and coming Crimewatch Roadshow which starts on the 7 June. I’m very excited about it. I’ll give you all the dates and locations as soon I know. It would be great to see some of you along the way maybe?! I have also been filming for Helicopter Heros and did a massive tour of the North again, i’ll be losing my Southern accent before long : -)

Joe Calzaghe called me the other day inviting me to a spa day. So there I was digging out my speedos and planning my girly pamper treatments when he informed me he meant 3 rounds of boxing – think I had best pack the Speedos away haha!

Am very, very excited about getting my new Range Rover Sport on Monday. It’s without a doubt the best car for me, not only due to all my traveling and my love for driving them, especially up in the moors when filming in the peaks! Also it’s actually one of the few cars I can fit comfortably in – lets face it me in a Mini Cooper would be something out of a Carry On sketch.

Would be great to know your news – follow me on twitter and my Facebook fan page.

Catch up in June folks

I am writing to you feeling very rested after a relaxing 4 days in beautiful Antigua. It was just what the doctor ordered after a very manic few months. I went with two of my friends who had much enjoyment laughing at me after I fell into a flower bush after falling backwards off my sun lounger – very embarrassing : -)
I had the last laugh though, when they dare not go back into their room because of tree frogs – two grown men screaming like girls was pretty funny I have to say!

Since returning home and getting through a pile of washing and ironing, I took part in Sports Relief and did the mile run on the Embankment. It was such an incredible day and was so proud to be part it. If anyone wishes to still donate to the cause then please visit: http://www.sportrelief.com

I also attended the TRIC awards a few weeks back and i’m pleased to say Strictly Come Dancing won an award which was amazing. Was such a fantastic night!

Missing Live is back on your screens – I hope you have all been tuning in – let me know your thoughts!

April will be another busy month for me traveling and filming, also lots of exciting news in the pipeline which I will make you aware as and when I can. Keep me up to date with your news on Facebook and Twitter.

For now – bye team : -)

I thought I could write a few words about the amazing awards I went to last night which will soon be on sky 1 HD so you can see for yourselves!

The awards were for children who have demonstrated extrodinary bravery or for adults who have done the same for young people. There were some really touching stories and lots of tears in the celeb audience too.

I met Harry a ten year old with an inoperatable brain tumour he knows this but decided to go out and raise money for others like him. He makes beaded braceletes and sells them to schools with a speech he gives about his situation he has raised an awful lot of money (won’t give too much away but it is loads!) But got many donations from us on the night for bracelets he left on all our tables, me and Ricky “Groovy” Groves coughed up and soon many others did as well including a charming Mr Anthony Costa from Blue and Emily Atack from DOI – who had whipped around the audience and handed him a bunch of bank notes! Good on them all I say.

Talking of DOI they were all there. I got a bit of a telling off from judge Karen Barber for ” going to the other side ” and not doing her show… ( sorry !)

Also on the same note many of the doi people were there together Gary Lucy, Maria his partner, Kieron Richardson and his partner and Hayley T and hers, as well as the lovely Daniella Westbrook. I was with Strictly’s Brendon Cole , Ola Chops Jordan and Louisa Lytton from previous SCD series. It was a bit of a comic stand off and looked like the imminant fight scene in anchorman with lots of rasberries and silly faces towards each other followed by lots of laughs. Good sports all of them !

The awards will be televised next week and also covered in this weeks News of the World. Definatly worth checking out and all winners were very deserving indeed

I feel like the littlest Hobo at the minute, I have been traveling across the country in the last few weeks filming for Missing Live and Crimewatch. Have visited Scotland, Leeds, York, Manchester, Bristol, Suffolk – to name but a few. Am looking forward to getting back home for a day to sort out my washing if nothing else!!! Has been manic but a lot of fun. Missing Live starts on 15 March at 9:15am on BBC1 so would be great if you can all tune in and let me know your thoughts : -)

Fortunately March will be a little calmer for me now. Am still looking for a new house but not having much joy, so i’m thinking maybe a holiday is in order instead whilst I decide on where to move too – any excuse hey! I’m still really pleased with my new Range Rover Sport. The kind people at Landrover have offered me an off-roading day which I can’t wait to do in the next few months – i’ll keep you posted.

Keep me up to date with your news!

Well it’s February already and the snow has finally gone for most – which is good news in my eyes. January was a manic month for me so I am taking the first week of Feb to have a big sort out in my house – something which I have been putting off for months and months, ok so maybe years : -)

I am hoping to move at some point early this year, so what better way to get motivated than to order a skip and throw out the rubbish or anything I don’t need – including 10 year old fancy dress costumes!

I filled it in 10 minutes flat, which I think was a record in the skip world, so was a very good job well done. Although the frog who has been happily living in my basement and set up home was not a happy froggy when he got evicted – sorry Mr Frog.

I have also managed to make time to watch some Rugby with friends which has been great – Rugby is one of my biggest passions. I even braved a pint a Gunniess – for those of you that don’t know, I don’t really drink!

Next week I am up in Bonnie Scotland filming for Missing Live which will be great as the series is out next month however, I will have to ensure I pack my thermals as I have a feeling it won’t be sunbathing weather.

Keep me up to date on all your news through Facebook or Twitter – the links are on my homepage and I will catch up with you all in a few weeks.

Bye for now

I hope you are all well and had a fantastic Christmas and New Year – bet you are all sick of turkey by now! Hope you all got snow – although getting snowed in and trying to make it to Strictly Come Dancing on foot with a suitcase under your arm is always an experience. All ended well though and must admit the weather did help get me in the festive spirit.

Santa was kind again this year with presents so thanks to him for making the effort as always – haha! I have been getting back to the gym so I suppose keeping fit is my resolution again for this year – oh and updating my BLOG more often : -)

January is a very busy month for me, which is always good as it’s normally a quiet month for most. I am currently filming the new series of Missing Live for BBC 1 and will be appearing as a guest on Celebrity Big Brothers Little Brother on 11 January.

I am also filming soon as a guest for Daily Cooks Challenge – i’ll let you know when it will be aired. Crimewatch is back on 27 January and will be finishing off the month by starting to film for the new series of Helicopter Heros, which I am looking forward too.

I’ll keep you updated with exact dates when I have them. Right had better crack on and do some work…

Training has been great fun and has been good to catch up with all the team. There will be some surprises in store this weekend so make sure you are all watching!

Went to the Sun’s Millie Awards last night to support our heros – wow what a night. Cannot believe what some of those guys have been through for our country. So heartwarming and was a real honour to be invited.

I’m busy today doing voiceovers and on the One Show later. Back on Crimewatch on Monday 21 December, hope you can all tune in – we always need your help and support.

Finally, I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has voted for me and supported me this year especially during ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, it really means alot! I will be back in the New Year with a new BLOG keeping you posted on my plans for 2010 and whether I can actually wear a shirt that doesn’t rip because of my arms-haha!

All that’s left to say is MERRY CHRISTMAS and have a very HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Speak next year team

Second weekend out of the way now and my first group dance completed! Must say I had a hoot doing it especially with big Joe C and Kristina and Chris and Ola running for dear life when they saw me coming towards them spinning like a rusty gear cog, but described as being like the big boulder in the Indiana Jones films!
Poor Richy D left the show on sat and I can honestly say he was a lovely bloke and shall certainly stay in touch with him.

The hard works starts again now and we have four days to learn a brand new dance before the next show… Wish me luck!!
